Accommodation Guidelines

The Housing Bureau of the 12th International Congress of Educating Cities provides the accommodations at a special rate.
It is recommended to use online reservation system for fast and convenient reservation.
Please Contact the housing bureau(accommodation@iaec2012.go.kr) if you feel any difficulties in using the online reservation system.

Regulation for Reservation

  • All prices are based on the Korean currency.
  • Hotel list and room charge are subject to change due to local situation.
  • Since accommodations are reserved on a first come first served basis, it is recommended to complete reservation by March 23, 2012.
    Accommodation reservation or change requests are not guaranteed after Mar. 23, 2012.
  • Check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 12:00 noon. Early check-in(before 15:00) & late check-out (after 12:00), is can not be guaranteed and extra charge will be applied.
  • For group reservation (over 1 room), contact the housing bureau(accommodation@iaec2012.go.kr).

Payment of Room Charge

  • The room rates are cover room rate and other expenses such as additional breakfast, mini-bar, laundry service and etc. will incurred as personal bill and should be paid to the hotel when you check out.
  • For hotel reservation confirmation, your credit card info is required to guarantee of your reservation, otherwise hotel reservation cannot be confirmed your booking according to hotel reservation policy. One-night room rate will be charged by Housing Bureau(Kim’s Travel Service Co., Ltd) within one week and balanced amount will be charged around end of Mar, 2012. If you do not have any credit card, you should forward at least one night deposit by bank transfer to the Housing Bureau to secure your room reservation and balanced amount should be paid by end of Mar, 2012. After completing payment, the confirmation letter will be sent to you.
  • Receipt will be issued by Housing Bureau upon request.

Regulation of Cancellation and Refund for individual reservation

  • Any change & cancellation requests must be made in writing via e-mail or fax to the Housing Bureau. All dates are based on Korean standard time (GMT+9hours).
  • Refund will be made after the congress due to administrative reason, bank service charge will be deducted from the amount.
    • Cancellation request received by 6 Apr, 2012 : No Penalty
    • Cancellation request received from 7 Apr , 2012 by 13 Apr, 2012 : 50% of one-night room rate will be charged as cancellation penalty
    • Cancellation request received from 14 Apr, 2012 & No-Show : One-night room rate will be charged as cancellation penalty.
      * No-show: do not check in without any notice in advance.
      * Cancellation policy for group booking will be informed through invoice for the group
